The doctors can test for blood borne diseases, such has HIV, Hep B etc...and also carry out preliminary swab tests, such as for Chlamydia , Bacterial Vaginosis etc...at the clinic.
However in some specific cases, the doctor may feel it is best to refer a person on to a specialist clinic for more detailed investigation.
